The Noya Says panel appears on the right side of every dashboard page and automatically generates analysis of the data on that page. If it is blank, loading indefinitely, or showing a generic message rather than specific analysis, one of the following is the cause.
The initial sync has not completed yet
The Noya Says panel cannot generate analysis until your financial data has been imported. During and immediately after the initial sync, the panel will be blank or show a placeholder message. This is normal.
Wait for the initial sync to complete before expecting analysis. The Sync On date in your top bar will update when the first sync is done.

The page has no data to analyse
If a particular page shows no financial data, for example the Invoices page shows no outstanding invoices or the Bills page shows no records, Noya has nothing to analyse for that page. The panel will be blank or show a message indicating there is insufficient data.
This is correct behaviour. Noya analyses your data. If there is no data on a page, there is nothing for it to say. Check whether the underlying data exists in your accounting software and whether it is being pulled through correctly.
The panel is loading but taking a long time
Noya Says analysis is generated each time you open a page. On rare occasions the generation can take longer than usual, particularly if the platform is under higher than normal load.
Wait thirty seconds to one minute. If the panel is still loading after that, refresh the page. The analysis will regenerate on reload.
The panel shows generic output not specific to your business
If the Noya Says panel loads but the analysis feels generic rather than specific to your actual numbers, the most likely cause is that the data being analysed has not changed since the last sync. Noya is reading and summarising the current data accurately, but if that data has not changed week on week, the analysis will reflect a similar position.
Check whether your accounting software has been updated with recent activity and whether a sync has run since that activity was entered. If data is current and the analysis still seems generic, contact support and include a description of what the panel is showing and what you expected to see instead.
The Noya Says panel is missing entirely from a page
If the right-side panel is not visible at all on a page where you expect it, check whether your browser window is wide enough. On narrower screens or when the browser window is not at full width, the panel may collapse or hide to accommodate the main content area.
Expand your browser window to full screen and reload the page. If the panel is still missing, try a different browser and contact support if the issue persists across browsers.
Ask Noya is not responding when you submit a question
If the Ask Noya chat interface accepts your question but does not generate a response, or shows an error after you submit:
β’ Wait ten seconds and try submitting the question again
β’ Check that your question is not very long. Extremely long or complex questions can occasionally time out. Break the question into smaller parts.
β’ Refresh the page and start a new conversation
β’ If the issue happens consistently across multiple questions, contact support
Note Ask Noya is in beta. Occasional slow responses or timeouts are expected as the system learns and scales. These improve over time. If you experience persistent unresponsiveness rather than occasional slowness, that is worth reporting to support. |
