How to check if your platform is supported

The fastest way is to start the connection flow inside Finoya. Go to your account settings and open the accounting software connection screen. A search bar appears at the top of the platform list. Type the name of your platform. If it appears, the connection is live and ready to authorise.

If your platform does not appear in the search results, it is not yet supported. See Article 6 in this collection for what to do next.

A note on Tally users

Finoya supports two versions of Tally: Tally ERP 9 and Tally Prime. These are separate products and require different connection flows. When you search for Tally on the connection screen, make sure you select the version your business is actually running. Connecting to the wrong version will result in a failed authorisation or missing data.

If you are not sure which version you are on, open Tally on your desktop. The version number is displayed in the top left corner of the application window.

A note on Sage users

Finoya supports three distinct Sage products: Sage Business Cloud (for UK, Ireland, and North America users), Sage Business Cloud South Africa (for South African users), and Sage Intacct (for mid-market and enterprise users primarily in the US and UK). These are separate platforms with different connection flows.

Select the Sage product that matches the version your business uses. If you are unsure, check with your accountant or look at your Sage login URL, which typically indicates the regional version.

A note on Microsoft Dynamics 365 users

Finoya supports Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) as separate connections. Business Central is the mid-market product used by most small and mid-size businesses. F&O is the enterprise ERP. Select the correct product when connecting. Your IT administrator or ERP vendor can confirm which version your organisation runs if you are unsure.

What if you use multiple accounting platforms?

Finoya connects to one accounting platform per business account. If your business uses multiple platforms, connect the primary one where your invoices, bills, bank transactions, and profit and loss data are recorded. That is the data Finoya needs.

Payroll-specific platforms are not supported as standalone connections. Payroll data that flows through to your primary accounting software will be captured through that connection.

For accountants managing clients across different platforms

Each client connects their own accounting platform independently through their individual Finoya account. You are not locked into one platform across your entire client book. A client on Xero and a client on QuickBooks Online can both be connected to your accountant dashboard simultaneously, each through their own separate connection.

Regional versions and automatic handling

Some platforms have regional versions with different feature sets. QuickBooks Online, for example, has different versions for the US, Australia, and the UK. Finoya handles this automatically when you authorise through your existing platform login. You do not need to manually specify your region during the connection flow.

Platforms coming soon

Shopify is in active development. When available, the Shopify integration will allow e-commerce businesses to connect their store as an additional data source alongside their accounting software, giving Finoya visibility into sales, orders, and product-level revenue that may not be fully captured in accounting data alone.

If there is a specific platform you need that is not currently supported, contact support and let us know. Platform additions are prioritised based on demand from the Finoya user base.
