Who this is for
This signup path is designed for accountants, bookkeepers, fractional CFOs, and financial advisors who manage finances for multiple clients. When you sign up as an Accountant, you get a multi-client dashboard as your home screen, not a single business dashboard.
Your billing is also different from an individual business account. You are billed at the end of each month based on the number of active client accounts you have during that month, where active means the client has a connected accounting platform. You can find full details in the Billing section.
Note If you are an accountant but only want to set up Finoya for your own practice's finances rather than for clients, sign up as a Small Business instead. |
Step-by-step signup
Step 1: Go to app.finoya.ai
Navigate to app.finoya.ai. On the sign-up screen, select Accountant before proceeding. This determines how your account is structured from the start.
Step 2: Choose your sign-up method
Sign up with Google or with your email address. If you sign up with email, you will receive a verification link. Click it to activate your account before logging in.
We recommend signing up with the email address you use professionally, as this is the address your clients will see referenced in any Finoya communications about their account.
Step 3: Your multi-client dashboard
After signing up, you land directly on your multi-client dashboard at app.finoya.ai/multi-clients. This is your home screen in Finoya.
The dashboard shows a table with one row per client. Each row displays:
• Client Name: The name of the business as entered when the client was added.
• Cash Flow Health: A score out of 100 and a colour indicator. Red means poor, green means healthy. A blank score means the client has not yet connected their accounting software.
• Days Cash on Hand: How many days the client can sustain operations with their current cash balance assuming no new income.
• Invoices Due in 30 Days: The total value of invoices the client is owed that are due in the next 30 days.
• Unpaid Bills Due in 30 Days: The total value of bills the client owes to suppliers due in the next 30 days.
• Gross Profit: The client's gross profit for the current period.
• Overdue Invoices: Total value of invoices past their due date.
• Invite Code: A unique code for each client used to connect their accounting software to your dashboard.
Adding your first client
Step 1: Click Add New Client
In the top right corner of your dashboard, click the Add New Client button. You will be asked to enter the client's business name and then select which accounting platform they use. Since you are the master account please ensure you select the right client that you want to link. Repeat this for all the clients you would like to link to Finoya.
Step 2: Share the invite code with your client
Once you add a client, a row appears in your dashboard with a Reveal button in the Invite Code column. Click Reveal to see the unique invite code for that client.
Send this invite code to your client. They will use it during their sign-up process by selecting Invited by Accountant on the Finoya sign-up screen. The invite code links their account to their own dashboard automatically.
Note Each invite code is unique to one client and can only be used once. If a client loses their code before using it, you can reveal it again from your dashboard. If they have already completed sign-up and need to reconnect, contact support. |
Navigating between clients
To open a specific client's full financial dashboard, click on their name in the client list. You are taken into their dashboard with the full view of their cash flow health, forecasts, invoices, bills, P&L, and ratios.
To return to your multi-client overview, click Back to Main Dashboard in the bottom left corner of the side navigation. You do not need to log out or open a new tab.
Ask Noya Premium
As an accountant on Finoya, you have access to Ask Noya Premium when you are inside a client's dashboard. You will see it listed in the For Accountants section at the bottom of the left navigation.
Ask Noya Premium is different from the standard Noya that your clients see. Standard Noya works from pre-calculated financial summaries. Ask Noya Premium connects directly to the raw transaction data, which means you can run much deeper analytical queries.
Examples of questions you can ask Noya Premium that go beyond standard Noya:
• Show me every transaction above $5,000 in the last six months and flag any that look unusual.
• Which expenses have grown by more than 20% year on year?
• Break down this client's revenue by customer and show me which relationships are growing or declining.
Noya Premium is designed to support the kind of advisory conversations accountants have with clients, giving you specific, data-backed talking points rather than requiring you to run manual reports.
Billing as an accountant
There is free 7 day trial for accountant accounts for the first account. Billing starts from the date your first client connects their accounting platform.
At the end of each calendar month, you receive an invoice via Stripe for the number of active client accounts during that month. An active client account is one where the client has completed the accounting software connection.
If a client is added and connects mid-month, billing for that account is calculated on a pro-rata basis from the day they connected.
