Monthly Report

The Monthly Report is a one page CFO review of your business for the last full calendar month. It scores your financial health, tells you what is working and what is breaking, names your single biggest risk, and gives you a 30, 60 and 90 day action plan. Every number in it is calculated directly from your synced accounting data.

Where to find it

Open the Reports page from the left navigation, under Reports and Filing. At the top you will see two tabs:

• Monthly Report: your current report for the most recent completed month.

• Past Reports: an archive of every report you have generated before, so you can look back and compare month to month.

Generating and updating a report

At the top right of the Reports page you have two buttons.

• Generate Report: creates a fresh report from your latest synced data. Use this the first time, or when you want a brand new report for the current period.

• Update Report: rebuilds the existing report using the most recent sync. Use this if your data has changed since the report was last generated, for example after collecting an overdue invoice or paying a bill.

Tip:
Generate or update your report after your data has finished syncing. The report reads from your last sync, so a report built before a sync completes will not include your newest transactions. Check the Sync On date in the top bar first.

Reading the report

The report is built to be read top to bottom in about two minutes. Here is what each part means.

Overall Summary

A short plain English snapshot at the very top. It pulls out the two or three numbers that matter most this month, so you get the headline before any detail.

Period, Generated date and Overall Score

Under the report title you will see the period it covers (the last full calendar month), the date it was generated, and an Overall Score out of 10. The Overall Score is a single measure of financial health for the month. Higher is better. A low score is not a verdict on your business. It is a prompt to look at the areas dragging it down.

The Situation

A few sentences describing where the business stands right now. This is the context for everything below it.

Health Check

A table that scores eight areas of your finances out of 10, each with a short CFO Take explaining the number.

• Revenue Growth: whether sales are growing this month.

• Revenue Consistency: how steady sales are across recent months.

• Gross Margin: how much margin your sales are producing.

• Cash Position: how much cash you hold and how many days it covers.

• Working Capital: the short term cushion between what you own and what you owe.

• Receivables Risk: how much is tied up in unpaid invoices and how overdue they are.

• Cost Control: whether your costs are contained relative to income.

• Forecast Trajectory: where your forecast income is heading over the next 90 days.

Scan this table first to see which areas are strong and which need attention.

What Is Working

The positives for the month. These are the areas holding up and worth protecting.

What Is Breaking

The problems for the month. These are the areas losing ground and needing action.

The Biggest Risk

The single most important issue to deal with, explained in plain terms, followed by an Immediate move that tells you the first action to take. If you only read one section, read this one.

What To Do

A practical plan split into three columns.

• 30 Days (Collect): the urgent actions to take this month.

• 60 Days (Stabilize): what to steady once the urgent items are handled.

• 90 Days (Recover): how to rebuild and get back to a healthy position.

Bottom Line

A closing summary that names the one or two numbers that will decide your next month, so you leave the report knowing exactly where to focus.

Downloading and sharing your report

Each report can be exported using the buttons on the report card.

• Download DOCX: a Word file you can edit or add notes to.

• Download PDF: a fixed file ready to send or file away.

You can also use the email button at the top of the page to send the report straight from Finoya.

For Accountants

The Monthly Report is generated per client. Open a client from your dashboard, go to their Reports page, and generate or update the report for that client. This gives you a ready to use monthly CFO review inside your firm's Finoya, without writing it from scratch.

The DOCX export is useful here. Download it, add your own commentary or branding, and send it to your client as part of your monthly service. Past Reports keeps a record of every report you have run for that client, so you can track how their position changes over time.

Tip:
The Monthly Report is a strong anchor for a monthly client review. Generate it before the meeting, use the Biggest Risk and What To Do sections to lead the conversation, and leave the client with the exported file.
